Justice & Peace will be holding a filter assembly event to support the ministries of the charity “Wine to Water.” Wine to Water is a 501C3 charity that provides clean water, builds water purification systems, and educates people worldwide who lack access to safe water to drink, cook and bathe. Inspired by Jesus’ first miracle, the charity was founded by a bartender who sought to change his career from serving wine to helping those who need water to survive.
Holy Trinity’s role in this ministry is to purchase ($52 each) and assemble as many filter kits as we can, to send into sites where water is not safe to drink. We will assemble our filters after the 5pm service on October 3rd, while enjoying a light dinner.
If you have an account with Thrivent, you may be able to get 3 filter kits for free. Simply go to your Thrivent page, click on the tab at the top “Generosity”, then select “Thrivent Cause Kit”, then complete the form to order filters. You can send the filter kits to your home, or to Holy Trinity, if you intend to join the event on October 3rd.
