The Racial Equity sub-committee of Holy Trinity’s Justice and Peace Ministry is hosting a two-part discussion on “Understanding Christian Nationalism”, a political ideology that is much in the news today. Close examination of this ideology, however, has caused concern among many Christian leaders, including The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, presiding bishop of the ELCA, who has stated: “…as Americans, we value our system of government and the good that can be accomplished in our constitutional democracy. Today, we are concerned about a persistent threat to both our religious communities and our democracy—Christian Nationalism.” Please join us on consecutive Thursday evenings, August 14 and August 21, from 7 to 8:30pm in Fellowship Hall as we explore Amanda Tyler’s book, How to End Christian Nationalism. All are welcome!
