INTRODUCTION TO ST. MATTHEW’S GOSPEL

The new church year begins with Advent I, the weekend of Nov. 29-30.  We’ll be entering the 1^st year of our three-year lectionary cycle (assigned Scripture readings), highlighting St. Matthew’s Gospel. Pastor Mary will lead an overview of that Gospel, which uniquely includes the story of Joseph being dissuaded by an angel in a dream from divorcing Mary, the coming of the Magi, the flight into Egypt, the Sermon on the Mount, the warning dream of Pilate’s wife, and the Great Commission.  All are welcome.
